It's been a few months since I have written on the blog but I will be writing weekly from now up until the EmeraldCup.  It will mostly be me writing to you but I am hoping Brad will jump in here every now and then to offer his insight and expertise as a promoter and Northwest NPC Zone Chairman.  Those of you who have been checking the site regularly have noticed that our site is now state of the art thanks to our wonderful webmaster Dan Davis.  Dan says that the sky is the limit with the site so feel free to email me with suggestions of what you would like to see (G-rated of course!) on our site.  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. I am excited about our new bloggers.  Bren is getting ready for the 2010 Ironman as a female Bodybuilding competitor.  Julie and the Kiminator are gearing up for the 2010 EmeraldCup Open Figure and Masters Figure respectively.  All 3 bring a different perspective in preparing for a show.  I encourage you to at least choose one to follow on a weekly basis if you are thinking of competing.  It will help you see all of the trials and triumphs an athlete faces as they prepare for a show.  I am hoping to introduce a new male bodybuilding blog writer to you shortly so be sure to keep checking back.  I enjoyed reading Dianes blog as she prepared for the 2009 Ironman.  It was fun to follow her from the beginning on up until she stepped on stage.  Diane has graciously agreed to keep writing her blog as she continues her future contest journey.  Dave, Dr. Buff,  brings the wisdom and insight of a seasoned competitor and we are very fortunate to have him share all of his expertise with us.  Dave is 55 and has had 2 knee replacements and a hip replacement and has more energy and a better physique than most people half his age!! If you haven't been following him, I encourage you to go back and read his 10 installments of the "Wisdom of So".  IFBB Fitness Pro Tanji Johnson updates us on her Fitness outings and top NW trainer and competitor Gerri Davis chimes in with expert training tips.

We will be adding a new page called "Quest for the Cup"  If you are getting ready for the 2010 EmeraldCup, send us your -up to one minute- video clip of you posing or training to post as inspiration for everyone.  I am excited to see how this page develops and it will give our EmeraldCup competitors a chance to showcase their training prior to stage.

I'm excited to see how the site takes shape and am excited to be part of an industry with such wonderful people!  Thank you to every athlete that has or will grace our EmeraldCup and Ironman stage!!!
